Stoughton March 16th, 1932

Dear Doris, I have just been to supper + will now begin my tomorrows letter while Pa is quiet + resting up in his chamber. He enjoys coming down + eating + then goes upstairs again where everything is quiet.
There is someone going to move into the house opposite, after the tenement has stood empty all winter. They have laid hard wood floors in all three rooms down stairs. I hope he will get his money back. I would hate to live in the sunless tenement. Give me sun, its half that heats my house.
I got your check today + will send it in this letter. I think its a little warmer to night a dreadful cold day with the wind keeping up steadily most all of
