Stoughton March 4th 1932

Dear Doris
We have had one more nice sunny day but just a bit cooler. I fear that the morning will begin with stormy cloudy weather.

Jim has just been over to see us, he says he has lost some weight & has not been feeling very spunky. but was glad to lose his fat.

I am sure he looks well & not so prissy he was too fat to feel comfortable. Pa stayed in the kitchen & occasionally would join in the conversion & seemed more like himself.

The baby is a funny little creature, if she had other children to sit down at the table to eat with her, she would do the same as they did.

I have just been out for a little airing before dark. the ground is freezing hard since the sun went down. its a little colder than it was yesterday.

I have been sewing some to day & it was so pleasant I wanted to go out but Pa raises so much fuss to avoid it I stay right at home unless it is absolutely necessary. he is afraid
