to be left alone. I do have to take the air occasionally + do the trucking. but it is like pulling teeth to get away from him. he grows better natured on the whole though.
He is sitting always in the dark + rarely comes into the sitting room. he has had a good evacuation of his bowels twice to day + that's good for him, he is tired enough to sleep well at night also.
I am doing all there is to keep him as well as possible + that's the most any one can do. I made a fish chowder to day there will be enough left for tomorrows dinner.
I have not seen Ralphs folks since Washingtons birthday busy I suppose putting their house in shape. since Bertha Upkam camp how Maude goes there. she was calling on her when the fire was raging in her house.
There is not much more to write did you get the bundle I sent off Monday morning early. I hope now you are all well + little D is feeding herself as big girls do always. before they can go to school to learn to read + write + cipher by rule. This morning is still pleasant I have been cleaning out closets. I am going down town later after my muffins are baked. Pa is up stairs patiently waiting for things to happen
