[[Stoughton?]] 22nd 1932

Dear Doris
This has been a warm sunny day without the cool wind. & I have been out enjoying the warm sunshine & digging around the bulbs we set out over a year ago. Some of them were in the grass & I managed to get that away so to give them a better chance to come ahead & blossom
I was out in the garden at work when [[Jalbot?]] came up to me to see Pa he stayed till supper time I gave him a cookie & a drink of ginger & water when he first came [[?]] which he seemed to relish. I made the cookies this morning.
Pa was obliged to stay down while he was calling, but now he is upstairs. he has raved over my getting in more Oil, the man brought it yesterday. I told him a few warm days did not mean that our cold weather was over. the cold May storm was yet to come & there would be more days the heat would be needed. but you cant reason with him. he says that I am a fool & dont know anything & I have not 10 cents to my name. he wants his own way it dont do any good to say anything. he gets on my nerve some days, when he is like this. I have started to get him to go out but he wont go he is so set
