Dear Doris

I think I have fared pretty well, your box was heavily loaded with good stuff, there could be nothing any one could wish for more than it contained. the warm nightie I will save to crawl into some cold night it looks very inviting. The stockins will also be put on when it comes cooler than it is today. I had to laugh when I came to Doris little bundle think she did pretty well for a first bundle the string held it & was well tied showed she was good at imitating older ones.
The old rose spread was a beauty, also the kitchen tablecloth I think the pieces of the different remnants call for more bed quilts & my feet won't be cold for a number of cold winters ahead. Chips night shirt I'll keep for future references. That vase will never lose its luster I suspect. Now as for Pa every thing he has excites him. At the time he was given money by the Co op bnk [[Co-op bank]] people. He was crying "take it away" & Lena's & your presents he is the same. Lena gave him an orange colored blanket & me a framed picture about a ten in long & thirteen in length. oil or an imitation. (mother + her two children) & a table runner, or bureau scarf very pretty.
