I hope the baby gets along all night meanwhile without her + your dinner will also be satisfactory + well cooked also. I don't intend to have anything different its hard to get rid of a chicken + it seems like eating alone more if I have anything out of the ordinary. I may have an indian pudding we are both fond of it +its coarse food + easy to digest. I am going up stairs to take my nap now.

This afternoon is warm + sunny + the snow is melting fast. A few warm days like this it will disappear + then another one will come.

I don't expect to see Talbot [[?]] untill after Xmas + Jim I saw down in the little store last. He said that Mary he did not think would eve be any better + of course he is never to get over his trouble but may out live us his ancesters are long lived.

Since writing this we had a visit from Talbot who brought up our Xmas to us, a box of stockins to Pa and a 2 1/2 gold piece to both of us, he seemed to please Pa he gave him his hand of tobacco as he usually does. Pa was more interested than he usually seems + enjoyed his stay. We have just been to supper now + the sun is going down, I have sent the babies nightie but you may not get it for Xmas early this morning when I went down.. Ma
