Houghton Dec 8th 1932

Dear Doris
A little cooler weather, rained during the night & wind changed so to day its some cooler, more like the season of the year. I cut out the night dress & am at work on it the pattern came this morning.

Alice called up this fornoon to know how I was, as she had not seen me lately & so I told her that I was very busy sewing for Xmas & I was all right. she said Myrtie was there last night. she had been a stranger also. I never see Alice sewing or doing anything but holding that dog but Myrtie is quite a hand to have some thing nitting, or doing fancy rugs or bed spreads, she has a lot of natural ingenuity that I dont think Alice has got.

Hattie Packard their cousin is always busy sewing or nitting & she is very particular. I dont know whether she intends staying there or not this winter. she has the front chamber I have beenup in her room once or twice but the up stairs is not heated. is'nt it funny after so many have lived there, the Dennies you would thought
