Dear Doris

I have just got your letter + glad you got the aprons + liked them, there was a lot of work in the smaller ones on account of the ruffles + so much bias trimming but they were pretty. + I hope they were large enough.

It rained hard + cleared off before morning, so to day is a bright sunny day, but little cooler on the whole. the air is very bracing. it would be a good day to dry clothes better than yesterday but I took mine in + hung them on the dryer + they were good + dry by this morning

I had a letter from Luna + I dont think she knows really what more she will make. theres no danger of the coming to line with Harolds wife. the house is not heated + its a cold bleak place, house facing the north east. she speaks also about Florida you know she bought land there $500 worth she may have an idea of going down to see about selling it or building a shack. I wish she had some one to advise her. she used to think a lot of Pa, relied more on what he told her than any one else. her judgment on some things is not sound
