Dear Doris
Talbot has just left + while my supper is heating I will begin the letter as it is after four o'clock it has been another nice warm day to good to stay in doors but I have been serving all day long. Pa seemed to enjoy the visit. Talbot brought his tobacco. he says that Joe Capen has gone to Florida for the winter. the curtains were down all over the house I noticed + I could not account for it he means to enjoy his money + be comfortable different from any of his ancestors in that respect a pretty good chap just the same. I think Jack Wayland is guarding against his high blood pressure in dieting. he has grown pretty thin, you would hardly know him. I guess most of people eat too much. I could get along with much less but when thing taste good + I'm hungry it hard work to resist the crave for food. I wonder if you want me to send the crib quilt + sheets now or later when I send the Xmas box. I have about finished
