Dear Doris

I have just written a letter to Lena & will now write yours. theres not much that is interesting to tell I cut up my chicken this morning & made frickassee [[fricassee]] it went like a new dish to us, Pa likes it that way. tell "Dory" that I took over some of the bones to the little dogs & they were very tickled with them, I guess they hadn't had any thankgiving turkey to their house. every time I go through that way they seem pleased & run out to see if I haven't got some thing for them to eat. the little brown dog teased to come in one cold day. I guess he had to stay out all night in the cold.
I went down town this morning & ordered some coal & 100 gals of oil I was not out of either but thought they could bring it up while the ground remained frozen. I stopped to Alices & got some books to read & she spoke of a big fire they had in Brockton last night I heard the alarm
