Dear Doris
Another South rain terrible down pour cleared in the night. but today is unusually sunny + nice. I have got my washing out + am ironing the pieces that are dry. I managed to get a chance to wash his every day pants + those I have ironed + over the stove drying around the waist + pockets.
Lena in her letter spoke of Pa always looked well cared for in other days. Well it was his fault in not telling Harris to cut his hair, I left the money for it on the table when I went off + he didn't tell him to cut his hair + the next week he didn't bring the thing to do it. He offered to go down to the shop after it, but we said never mind next week will answer, so Lena found him with long hair + noticed him, but no one knows, He always needed when anybody comes + hides up +  I try to keep him looking as well as possible always. I managed to get his feet washed this morning but that's all he would do when he says no you can't do anything else. He will change his flannels only every other week but that's enough.
