Dear Doris

This is a stormy day. early after breakfast I went down to Alice's to carry a book due to go in tonight and found the house full of company & an auto full of more just getting out of the car so I got out as soon as possible. I went up stairs into Mrs. Packards room, she gets books for me in the library & has been very kind & accommodating. [our cousin to Sue?] I am about [?] she lost all of her money by giving it to one of her sons who speculated and lost it. she was always sick & now is supported by the city of Brockton, quite a comedown.

I have been busy since I got home & after I went up stairs to lie down the door bell rung & it was a young man who brought over the key from [Fishers?], so Sidney is not to worry about his door key, for I have got it with a tag, so I will know it the next time I see it sure.
