Stoughton Nov 4th 1932

Dear Doris
    We have had our first cold night that the ground froze last night. but it has moderated during the day early this morning the thermometer stood at 25° + a heavy frost so I thought we got our outside windows on about the right time.
    The Loomeys were hustling theirs out early this morning +getting theirs ready to put on also.  I guess they felt the cold North West wind also.
    I turned on the heat this morning + warmed up the house + it seemed good. this afternoon Estell Perkins came she said old Mrs Churchill was going over to Brockton to line with Bessie this winter + she is going to miss her tirrebly [terribly] but. she is failing + dont seem able to live their alone any longer.
    It is growing dark and I can hardly see to write this so I will turn on the light five o'clock by our time. I called up Fisher and he is going to deliver up
