Stoughton November 3rd 1932 Dear Doris A windy cool day. I called up Gregory Colcord [[?]] last night & he has been over this forenoon & taken off my screen doors & put on the storm windows & it has made a great difference to the temperature of the house. I have just been down to Kate Dykemans after meadow moss & partridge berries, to fill my glass globes she sent out Grace, her big girl, & she got me a generous supply they are brought up near where the stuff grows & I knew they would be only too glad to get it for me. she is going to have another kid. I told her early in the summer what was the matter, before she had found it out. & she says she thinks of what I said to her lots of times. Pa hugs the stove pretty closely today. the house seems good & warm with just the kitchen range. but if this cold snap continues I will heat up the house a bit. I think the baby is getting pretty smart in dressing herself as she has learned to do in so short a time & hope she will be big enough to button her clothes & tie up her shoes by the time she comes to Grandmas
