Stoughton Oct 25th 1932 Dear Doris Last night we had a heavy frost the water in a pail skimmed over, but it has warmed up during the day + it seems nice. I have been pulling up my tomato vines + straightening out the yard getting apples over to the old place under the northern sky. anything to be outside its too good to stay in, to be sure theres a little sharpness to the air but its not bad. I walked down to see the house after supper + found they were painting the barn, the house is all finished + looks mighty nice. I find that town meeting comes the 11th of November I asked Ted Smith, he stopped to talk with me out in the year. a man by the name of Jinkins has built that bungalo his fathers house. its a garage but he is going to live there this winter + there in the spring and build a house there beside of it. I turned on the heat this morning to warm up
