Dear Doris

This has been a nice pleasant day cool as it always is at this time of the year. a coat or sweater on is the right thing if going out of doors.

Pa finds it cool to stay up stairs long at a time. I have my kitchen stove which keeps me warm enough down stairs with the front room shut up.

The grapes are disposed of they made eight bottles of grape juice which will be good for us all next summer. I hope they keep, they are all put down celler. I have put up 15 pint + 12 quarts of tomatoes, which will constitute a good share of my living for the winter. the vines did well.

It is clouding up some this afternoon + its doubtful if we have a pleasant day tomorrow. to day was a good washing day. I got the clothes all dry + they are folded up all ready to iron.

The autumn leaves around the house are mostly
