yellow. I have seen but few red maples.

The little brown dog was here on our front portiere early. he lies there in the sun & sleeps. I gave him some fish chowder for his breakfast early on a paper.
While we were eating supper I heard some one knock at my kitchen do [[door]] & it was Mrs Gilzer she stayed an hour or more. She is still in love with the lot up on Central St.
Her husband is deluded with the idea that he has a cancer in his abdomen & she wants him to be exrayed [[x-rayed]], so to satisfy him & it will cost him money for that job. I guess he is pretty spleeny the poor woman has more than her share to contend with no doubt. so I guess they will stay here this winter
Lena wants to come out town meeting day to vote so I guess to tell her she can come we had better, she is feeling blue the letter seemed.
I am going to bed with the chickens the nights are pretty long there is nothing to sit up for & I can rest if I don't sleep. The sky to night was mackrealy so it will be dull & rainy tomorrow perhaps we did not get our Sentinel this week so I don't know when town meeting comes but think its in November.
