Stoughton Oct 19th 1932 Dear Doris Storm still continues tomorrow I hope it will end lots of wind goes with it. & I am sure it will be cold after its over. I have finished my books & I have been trying to clean the ceiling where it was so black over the kitchen stove, but have succeeded in making it look worse, instead of better as usual. I hope you are rested from so much vacation activities. Mary Ansel spoke of her trip down to Charley D Bapens. & guess she was glad to be home, she said that Lizzie was looking pretty well & Charley did nothing but smoke from morning till night. Rachel & her husband came over to see them that night & there seemed to be an improvement in Rachel to what she was when she was growing up. Lizzie does all the work in doors & out some very heavy work such as lifting big stones. they had a good garden this summer from her working outside, he has not been able to do anything since
