Stoughton October 16th 1932
Dear Doris
A cloudy warm Sunday. it seems more than a wekk since you went back. we have had a killing frost + took all the flowers + tomatoes, but nice sunny days since then.
Saturday was fine + I went down to book at the Blake house it was far along on the second coat its showing up the fancy trimmings great + the narrow given on the outside moldings to the windows looks very neat. the house don't look bad at all without the blinds, there is so much fancy trimmings + the lay windows with their fancy shingling are very attractive I do wish you might see the house for it never looked to so good an advantage the color is just right for it.
I called to see Lottie Hickney she lies there in bed but knew me but she is unconscious between time + def she jabbers all the time a woman is there now to do the work. Freddie is a little hero he is so good to his father + mother, it doesn't sum as if she can live much longer, she is a great care + what would they do without Freddie.
I called on Mort + Anna coming home. Mrs Gilger asked me to go to see with her to see a house lot she liked on central street.
