all alone. I forgot to tell you about Alice Jule. she came Monday I was just preparing my onions for dinner. I finished them + set them onto cook. then she stayed till they were boiled. my potatoes were in baking. well finally she said "well Lucy I am going to see Arthur" so I called him down stairs. they shook hands + parted + hope she went away satisfied. 

Now I will do up my work as this better I sat right down to get it written. the first thing so you would get it by Saturday. Pa is quiet + stieks down stairs by the fire more since its cooler. My heater is going mornings + its humming now as I write the letter Pa has not noticed its on yet.
