Dear Doris

I hope you got home safe & not much the worse for the trip. You are pretty much tired out for its been a hard vacation for both & but very little rest. I found one but the other one must have been carried down. this one was near the safe & guess it fell out of the bag when you hunted for something in it. The morning warmed right up before noon & its been lovely weather for your trip today is an ideal summer day. & this morning I gave Pa a bath & changed all his clothes. & today I have a string of clothes on the line its a good washing day. Pa is very docile he seems very calm & tries to help once in a while. I cleaned up his room & took down the carpet to sweep & air he got mad at that but I carried the day so he finally gave in & felt sorry I guess. for since then he is trying to be good. I am taking up my plants every day now & getting ready for winter. I must save all my begonias. Luis Dykeman came yesterday & I gave him the money & he signed the paper
