Stoughton Aug 7 10/" 1932 Dear Doris This is a terrible lifeless feeling morning. going to be a singer I guess. I have just been out to pick black berries. they are most gone by now. I have just got [[?]] clothes washed + on the line. he has taken his bath + made no fuss about it. I think he suffered with heat for the last few days for he came down occasionally from the chambers. I had a host card from Gertrude yesterday she writes they are having a fine time to the shore + go in bathing every day. its ideal weather for shore people. Miss Colcord has just been here with Gregory + the little girl. this afternoon they are going down to Rockport she is to be here for a fortnight so you will probably see some thing of her. The sun is clouding in + it is a trifle cooler. therefore. I am sure we may have showers before night. I have not watered my tomatoes thinking the shower would come to do it for me. those I have not watered
