on the other side of the path do the best & dont dry up. so another year I wont begin to water them & let them take care of themselves. Pa is very contrary about his eating he kicks at vegetables. he only wants custards & cream so I get his vegetables first & dont [[don't]] set on the deserts 'till the very last thing. he likes to pick after his meals & often eats a good meal going around dipping into the different dishes. I got string beans ones in Leonards garden & corn but had them all to eat myself. after you come it will be more of a relish. I never eat meat & dont seem to miss it. fish we usually have when Jack comes around. Harris spoke of his being on the sick list & missing his wife & I gess [[guess]] he is worried about himself & no one to cheer him up, too bad he is to be pittied [[pitied]] for having such a selfish disposition & on the other hand those who live with him have my sympathy. I am going to get Pa his supper he is getting restless over head  Ma.
