Arthur L. Holmes 209 Walnut Street Stoughton, Mass. July 9th 1932 Dear Doris, Today there is a cool wind blowing for which we are much thankful for. on the whole we think its been a green summer. not many very hot days. the grass is growing brown in places. O! if we could have a good rain. the fruit coming along needs moisture very bad. there are quite a number of pairs on the tree. the smaller tree is going to die most of it is dead. I went downtown this forenoon these well several errands had to be done. I met Ralph in the square. I got me a pair of shoes I was much in need of. my feet are the worst thing about me. they bother me a lot and never feel comfortable. its hard for me to find any thing that I can stand. between grown out joints and [[?]]. They keep me in misery a good part of the time. but otherwise I am none the worse for wear.
