her tragic death. he is a man of great sympathy for people who are sick. his milk is always just the same & never varies. I have a pint every day & no more. often we have enough left over for a custard. this morning I made one after the two days left overs. I usually scald the milk at night. I am going to get an ice cream for the fourth. I havent had one all summer. & I mean to get one more before I breathe my last. I guess Pa wont object, he is getting very penurious lately. it must go with the disease they say Emmerson Wilkins was afraid of coming to want but he had a weak heart that mercifully carried him out of his trouble. it is cloudy this afternoon & I feel that it may mean some change in the weather before morning my kindlings have just come & Pa is worrying over them everything keeps him worried untill he forgets it. the chambers are hot I cant see how he stands them he had a good nap & sleeps good nights physically he seems pretty fair his head is the worry.
