An examination of the above plates shows a variation of about 3.0 magn. 10.5 to 13.5
Variability confirmed by L.D. Wells.

The variability of this star was discovered independently (on a later date than the discovery from its spectrum) by Miss H.S. Leavitt [[strikethrough]]from an[[/strikethrough]] by the method of superposing negatives on a positive.
