Gibraltar Chronicle July 13, 1894; also English Mechanic 59, p. 554. Astronomical Assoc. Vol 5, p. 247. Discovered independently by M. Fleming Sept. 12, 1894 and confirmed by  E.C. Pickering Oct. 9. See B. 75 p. 214.

C.D.M. -29° 2538. R.A. 5^[[h]] 46.7^[[m]] Dec. -29° 13' (1900). Astron. Jour. 15, ^[[p.]] 81. "The place given by Dr. Hartwig who has identified the star with Cord. DM -29° 2538".
M. Fleming wrote, Astron & Astro-Physics Vol XII p 687, "Its position for 1875 is in R.A. 5^[[h]] 45^[[m]] 41.9^[[s]] Dec. -29° 13.7' " and on p. 810 gives the designation as DM -29° 2538. In the latter place the position for 1875 is carried forward 45 years instead of 25.
