That E Bourges of Bourges Shipp was indebted to him (Gibson) a balance of account of sixteen (16) dollars leaving  him-(Gibson the claimant) indebted to Shipp Bourges & on account of the estate of A. G. Carter in the sum of nineteen dollars ninety three cents ($19.93) as above set forth.

This paper being a more explicit statement of the account is submitted in lieu of one forwarded from this office May 1st 1868 and returned by the Assistant Commissioner for Mississippi May 6th 1868 requiring a report upon the merits of the case and the statement whether the claimant is a freedman  The above is a report as explicit as can be made in this case from the information obtainable at this office, the facts having occurred in the sub district of Greenville. The claimant is a Freedman now in this subdistrict.
