Sir: I have the honor, to state, that on the reception of your communication of the 5th inst. relative to the Board of Police, and Paupers of Holmes Co. that I proceeded to Lexington, to see the parties, having written Mr Eggleston, President of the Board, three times on the subject, without receiving a reply. I deemed it my best policy to call on him.
