Mr. James E. Benedict was employed by the Museum and assigned to this department as assistant, January 13.  Miss M. J. Rathbm has been attached to the department during the entire month.  The service of a laborer have been utilized for 8 1/2 days.

Routine Work - The overhauling of the alcoholic collection of Brachyrna from the North Atlantic began earlier in the winter, has been continued during the month.  The alcohol has been renewed, the jars cleaned inside and out, and new labels
