2 was received a small collection of Brachyura obtained by the schooner Grampus during the winter of 1888-89 off the west coast of Florida. It contains 37 species determined by Mr. James E. Benedict and Mr. W. B. Kendall, a report upon which is to be published in the Bulletin of the U.S. Fish Commission. From William Palmer, National Museum, was received a collection of crustaceans, sponges, echini, etc., chiefly from St. Paul's Island Bearing Sea, and collected by William Palmer and H.W.
