Many of the smaller accessions have also been of much value, the following among them being worthy of special mention: A series of marine invertebrates from St. Paul's Island, Bering Sea, and Unalaska collected by Mr. William Palmer, of the national museum, and Mr. H. W. Elliott, during the summer of 1890; a similar collection from Arichat, Cape Breton, N.S., presented by Mr. W.A. Stearne, of Cambridgeport, Mass.; specimens of crustacea from Dr. Charles F newcombe, of Victoria, B.C., and obtained in that vicinity; entozoan parasites of fish-eating birds
