December Dr. A. Zumburch volunteered  his services as translator. Dr. Howard U. Ames was given the facilities of the department for the mounting of dried Crustacea for the Museum of Hygiene. 
Researches-Mr. Benedict has continued his studies in the Eupa- guridae of which Dr. J.C. McConnell is making drawings. Miss Rathbram completed a paper on the Periceridae in the Museum, and has continued her studies on the Maiidae, beginning on a bibliography of the latter group. Mr. Walliu Faxon named the small collection of crayfishes sent him in October, reserving this specimen for
