Stoughton April 17th [1933]

Dear Doris
Another cloudy day I went down town early + cashed that check + sent off two letters + the little dresses you ought to get the bundle by the last of the week. I put a few pictures in the letter + will add a few to this one + so on untill they are all returned. Alice has got the post cards he is interested in them + likes the descriptions, she says Doris has a great talent for describing + writing letters. I  dropped in there this morning after waiting so long for the bank to open to rest me + noticed for the first time a red breaking out at her neck + spoke about it she said it was rough + she had not noticed it before it is the family plague perhaps thats what has been troubling her this winter she has suffered with her seinos trouble. all winter + does not dare to go out even now. she is fifty years old she said to day. I guess she is more. Mystic has got a chance to go out nursing I believe its a hospital case, Dr Doherty got the job for her. I dont know what is going to become of her later on she is getting into years when she wont be able to go out to work + her children are all too poor to have he. Roy is troubled with gall stones.
