Myrtie has been working down to West Stoughton for the last three weeks for Corney Southworths widow, cleaning her house. she is over eighty years old. but is back up to Mardens now. where she makes it her home. I ought to go down to Alices & get books this afternoon as I am out of reading, having finished my book yesterday. she told me to come, for she had three ready for me Saturday. Pa stays up stairs most all the time. cleaning up the house stress him up too much. but I cant help it. I am making a rug now. using up old duds. Ralph & Maude were here yesterday about six O'clock. they were looking at the post cards & things you sent me & felt bad to think they were not remembered. I guess. they had been off riding since they ate their dinner. Anna called me up & said she was coming up to see me some afternoon. I guess it has seemed a long winter to them both. Mort is busy painting most of his time. well I will stop now while I go down to get the books. Ma.
