Ft. Myers
4 Apr. 1933.

Dear Folks:
Just a line tonight. We have been all day over at an island, connected by a little ferry boat that takes cars over, that lies outside of Ft. Myers 4 miles across the bay. It's a long sandy stretch, with quite a few hotels & cottages amid the palms & other tropical foliage. Sid had been given a letter of introduction to a woman who has a house there who is interested in shells. They say there are more shells on that island than anywhere else in Florida, and there certainly were. Sid under this woman's guidance drove the car along the hard coral sand on the beach, and we all clambered out at intervals to see the pelicans, ducks, herons, comarants and to gather shells. I am going to send you a little box of them when I get back they are so pretty and unlike any we have.
