Coconut Grove Fla

I enclose an orchid from the "jungle", some eucalyptus and a pretty pink flower (bafisia)

The baby collected this Sargasso weed & said "send this to Grandma" She wanted to send a piece as big as a basket

Dear Folks:

Today I shall try to get in a real letter. We have stayed here another day so that we shall all get rested up after this most strenuous week. The baby & Mrs. C. stayed home all yesterday and the baby was normal by night. She slept well all night & today has been running about the yard collecting beetles & snails. We are feeding her lightly still, and letting her rest so that by tomorrow she should be in shape. The rest is doing us all good.

The climate here is about like Wash DC. in July except that we always seem to have a good breeze. We aren't over a mile from the ocean & the wind blows off of it. They say when there isn't a breeze the sand flies & mosquitoes are terrible. The sand flies are very tiny & black, something like the midges we used to have at Onset, & go right thru all screens.
