Dear Doris

The cold storm continues too cold to melt away our snow. I am already sick of so much rainy weather & have quite forgotten how the sun looks as this is the therd day since we had it out. I am going to make another fish chowder tomorrow, the fish comes to late for our dinner Tuesdies, so I am boiling it to make it into a chowder for tomorrow. we like it better than anything else. I have not had meat since we had the chicken. so late on I mean to have another one it lasts us a week so I think that is cheap enough. I am serving on the little rompers. & not hurrying either as you said not to. raining hard & occansionly fogs up, I suppose on account of the melting snow There is nothing going on so its hard to think what to write Pa sits off by himself reading in the dining room. & I am here with my sewing in my lap trying to think of something to write about. its to bad you have to take so much luggage just for a little two weeks trip. I certainly hope you have pleasant weather if you go. its anything but that here now
