Doris

This has been a sunless cold day + it feels like snow with the wind in the cold corner. I hope to have rain instead. there is nothing to do but read my book, which is very interesting. I have just had dinner + been to sleep. Pa had a good nap. he sleeps well. but his head does not improve. I met Talbot down town he thinks he is going to be better when it comes warmer weather. but I said never short of a miracle. + I dont believe he does if he told the truth. I began my house cleaning in the kitchen the wood work I cleaned in the afternoon. I had washed my windows + the curtains a while before, so they were not in need of any. they look all right. It has begun to snow, some fine flakes are falling. there has been a chill of snow in the air since early morning. winter wont rot in the sky. this month has proved without a doubt. thank the Lord its more than half gone. I hope you are having it nice + pleasant so you can enjoy riding in that new car + it is warmer down
