Stoughton March 8th 1933

Dear Doris 

We have been having a very heavy deluge of rain all night & so far through the day. it has lowered our snow but theres a plenty left the south wind has'nt taken its very foggy + if this weather continues the snow is bound to disperse. I have just come down from our afternoon nap it seems good to have this warm rain, it has done lots towards lowering our banks of snow which has been with us so long obstructing the [[?]]. I think though by tomorrow we may see the sun. I made a fish chowder + some apple pies which Pa seemed to relish. now I am going to go at my bed quilt which I have half tied in the front room. so you see I shall soon have it ready to bind round the edge. I would like to see the new car. it must seem good to get rid of the old one. before it gives out on you. it has done good service & never turned against you. but now you will soon learn to manage this new one without much trouble I Think. It is three o'clock & I have got to go down to the little corner store after some crackers for oyster stew I am going to have for my supper it has rained very
