Dear Doris

Snow kept up the greater part of the night. it came damp so every tree was white in the morning. but the temperature was mild it seems good to have it warm + sunshiney. I am going down town this afternoon. PA is very fussy today he could not compose himself to sleep this noon. he is worrying over everything + it will be heaven to get away if only for a little while.

The sun is going in + its [[it's]] beginning to cloud over again + it may mean more snow. if it does they will have to break out the roads. the children are having a weeks vacation so no need of their needing any paths made for their benefit.

I am eating the last of my chicken I made biscuits this noon + had it cut up 7 turned over the bread. fricassee which seemed a new dish. 7 I enjoyed it. the biscuits were very light + nice I made it out of some prepared flour. it pay to keep it on hand for that purpose.

It is lucky for me I got everything thats [[that's]] needed before the storm as there nothing but envelopes + to carry down Alices [[Alice's]] two library books + get some coarse white thread now.
