she is kind hearted & means well. we all have miserable traits, so we have to make the best of things & put up with each other. 

I have made a brown bread loaf, also a baked rice pudding.  I was most out of bread so made brown bread it is good to sandwich in once in a while & coarse food I believe is best for us all. 

I shall go at my bed quilt next. I will have to have some cloth to sash it with & also some for a lining. these remnants there are not enough of in each piece. I stripped up those others you sent forming the lining to that other quilt. I suppose I might do the same to this one but rather like the idea of having it all one kind. no doubt Mort liked the idea of your visiting the picture gallery & writing to him about it. hope to call him up & talk over the phone. I am now going to start my supper.  there is hardly any snow left I am thankful to say.
