my coal is also hanging out. Pa tipps [[tips] the covers & it burns slow I guess. he is terrible afraid to see any thing boil so if I am cooking things I have to watch out sharp or they get set back. I am knitting another sweater. larger than the other one, as there was more yarn I thought to make use of it before it was too late. I like it for pick up work & its soothing to ones nerves. It is clouding in for rain to night I have got my ashes all sifted that I had accumulated during the cold storm so have prepared for a change for the worse. Perhaps we shant [[shan't]] have the gale accompaniment with this one.

Now I am going to cream some oysters for our supper as Pa is fond of them. so then get the supper early & go down with my letter to the box & that ends the day. glad to hear you are all well once now. I have not seen or heard anything of Ralph or Maude, so guess they have forsaken us entirely like every body else, well so be it. Myrtie is still at Caretas but she does not go much I have been there just once. I have not been any where to call as Pa is so afraid to stay alone. but I like to see people no one realizes my situation day in & day out. Freddie Stickney does he is situated the same with no one to pass the time of day with. well I try to think I am given my health without it things might be harder so let well enough alone I have plenty to do with & thats [[that's]] everything.
