January 31, 1925 THE HEEBIE JEEBIES 7 ---- PIPING THE DANCES (Continued from page 6) doctor, wore a dress of light grey, beaded georgette, semi-sleeveless, black slippers and flesh-colored hose. Among other clubs entertained by Mr. Hughes were: the Sionilli Adelphia, the El Progresso, the Bon Vivants and the Buccaneers. Old Eudora Old "Fessors" Clark and Watts of the Eudora Dancing class emulated the two Jumping Jacks all through special program Monday night. A large attendance was probably the chief reason. Madeline and Exel were there early, the former's costume was unique. The sleeveless green-beaded crepe-de-chine along with the light blue hose and dark short vamp suedes made Madeline a "peach." Exel wore a dark combination of taffeta and lace with a hat to match. The plump young lady who wears fashionable frocks nightly should use a little judgement by dropping the hem another inch on the expensive white silk frock, with the large pink American beauty roses around the border. We admire her glorious spirit. The lady that wore the blue flannel sport dress and smiled constantly into the vamping eyes of Fayne, appears to have her feet in delightful working condition. Say, who's your chiropodist? Pink crepe-de-chine, with white fur trimming and dark slippers, syndicate schottische is your favorite dance or was it your favorite partner? Maybe both from the way you were smiling at him. The little divorcee of the west paused in the center of the floor during intermission to use the "old puff" on her cheeks. Kinda cold to be so far, and alone, eh? Miss Secretary, you must practice more at home, how t dance with a book under the arm and a pencil in the mouth. The gent that you waltzed with while the music was playing "Home Sweet Home is kicking to beat the band. ---- ORIENTAL CAFE The week at the Oriental has been a gala one. Mamie "Race Horse" and "Bebe" are its principals, the latter famous for her extraordinary dancing. Rumor hath it that Arthur "Dude" Robinson has already been swamped with requests for reservations for next Sunday eve. Glover Compton and his intimitable syncopators are music makers. ---- THE WINTER CLASSIC Basketball and Dance ARMSTRONG HIGH SCHOOL (Washington, D.C.)
