Stoughton July 1st, 1933

Dear Doris

Four Oclock & we have just got there. supper & dishes cleaned up. A good thunder shower came about midnight & another this forenoon which wet the ground in good shape. last night my neighbor Mrs Gilzer gave me some nice blueberries & I have stewed them up today. tonight I stewed & ate the last tomato you brought home to me, it went well with my supper. Pa is eating down the prunes & they answer for a purgative no knowing how long he takes to them. Harris came today & shaved him. he says his mother is done up with rheumatism. its damp down there in the meadow I put in a terrible night & the shower was company Pa came in during the fury of it he was scart. all the neighbors were wide awawake [[awake]] & lighted up but I was glorifying in the down pour now my garden I hope will be benefitted by it we may get another before morning. I have managed to get sleep during the day a couple of naps. I snore terribly when I do drop off. Mrs Gilzer is coming to night & she will bring me some junkets so she told me she is very thoughtful. I dread to night. I am sorry you
