Dear Doris
This is a lovely day & not quite as hot. we are still needing rain things are very dry. To day I have been trying to rest after another horrid night & oil again which upsets me thru the day, but if there is any virtue in it I will try & give it a trial & I took the sun bath after dinner. Pa is on his I dont want things I dont think he is feeling just right & his appetite for broths & soups was never any strong. I am stewing him up prunes for his supper.

Mrs Bing came in last night she is far from being over her fall & looks pale she misses Nellie the same as I do. & she says she seemed worried over their financial affairs with no money coming in. for all their close mouthedness she said she spoke of it to her. you know it must have taken lots of their cash when old "Moses" was pulled through the operation & kept in the hospital so long & people wondered if they had a gold mine. well he is company for Dennis & the Toomeys are a united family, so I guessed they will always be looked out for by the other family, as Dennis & Gene did for Toms when they lived in the old house & their family were small
