Stoughton July 18th 1933

Dear Doris
Our first hot day for a long time. I can sweat here in my sitting room remaining still. I took my sun bath since dinner after rubbing my leg well with ointment then it wont blister or burn. I had Gertrude over last night while I was out watching the boy mow the lawn. then Mrs Gilzer came with her dog & boy to water the lillies & George Bing. I asked him to see to the paying of my electric light bell & telephone & he is going to get my stamps. he says he will do anything else thats needed anytime. I am having painful nights. but get a little sleep during the day. Pa finds legs for me in a great many ways, setting things on & clearing off my table and getting the water emptied from under the ice. Edward takes it out with his mothers attention & then waters my plants outside. Bing & the rest of them go wild over my fairy lillies. I am going to give them some when I repot them another year. Mrs Gilzer wants
