she started with money to pay here fare down & back but when she reached Brockton she only had 19 cents in her pocket book not enough hardly to get back home. she gave it to the sister to get her a new coat & thats the way she is. a good hearted person. very generous too much so for her own good. my pain kept up all night but I have had naps to day one or two & been fairly easy. it may go as it came in a night. I certainly will be glad to bid it adieu. I told Alice what Ewing said about its being my old age creeping on. sounds just like him. so hateful. no wonder he does not have more practice she says. We have just been to supper &  cleared the table & done up the dishes. I am reading my book "David Strange" this will be the last letter. Ma
