& gives me what little exercise is needful. dont worry the medicine is getting in its work all well & good. its a disease that has been hanging around for some little time & has now reached a climax. Oranges have upset me all summer it is not the fruit that I need they agree with Pa they were extra sweet & ripe they tasted so good better than common. I only ate half a one at noon & the other half at night. but I saw wheels & so took my rhubarb. I keep my bowels open he told me castor oil but I have not courage for that its too upsetting. Cloudy weather & still cool ones. rooms are uncomfortable to remain in the without a good fire in the kitchen stove. Mrs Gilzer comes in every day to condole with me so I am looked after. she is so cheering it brightens me up at the end of the day. tonight & tomorrow  going to be hard to bear for noise. I hope you are cooler & the little one better. she will be all right. dont give her apple sauce it is apt to upset. it always does my stomac. acidious stomacs. We have just been to supper. bread & rice pudding & tea. Pa has his paper to read today but none tomorrow I suppose.  The paper says that Boston is the only place but what they have had rain, in the east. they have played ball there to day, where at all the others they have had to postpone it on account of rain every thing is very dry. I hope we get it soon the boy came to mow & I told him  not untill we had some rain its so cold it makes one think of frost almost. I have felt the best to day & but with very little pain Mrs G has just been to see if I wanted any thing down town Ma
