Staughton June 30th 1933 Dear Doris Another warm day with more air stirring but still the same sweaty atmosphere. I have been feeling bum & have just got up from my nap. The pain was intense all night & followed up all day to a certain extent. Last night Mrs Gilzer came, Mrs Geo Ring had told her I was ailing & she was very kind & went home after an ointment for me made of wintergreen, they used hospitals to ease the pain she wanted me to let her rub it on but I thought it much easier for me to do as I know just where the pane was. She was a graduate nurse for some hospital in Boston before she came here to live & liked the business; & fond of taking care of the sick people. Mr Cary who drives for Belcher came with kindlings is son of a woman who used to live in the old house of grandpa Talbots before it was torn down & worked for Uncle George. He was very fond of Arthur & is an awful kind hearted person it does one good to talk with him. He says these sciatics cases are common this year that he has heard of a number. It is the condition of the weather & I presume changeable, going so quick from hot to cold.
